About Sophie Horner LCSW

Life doesn’t come with a guidebook — and some seasons feel heavier than others. Whether you’re overwhelmed by anxiety, facing relationship struggles, or working through past experiences that still affect you, therapy can be a powerful place to pause, reflect, and reset.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who works with teens and adults navigating anxiety, trauma, and emotional dysregulation. With over a decade of experience in outpatient therapy, behavioral health consulting, and crisis care, I bring a direct, compassionate, and clinically grounded approach to every session.

My work is rooted in evidence-based modalities that help clients better understand their nervous systems, reduce distress, and build tools for long-term change. I aim to create a therapeutic space that is safe but active — where you’ll feel both supported and gently challenged.

I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and have worked across integrated healthcare teams, community mental health, and private practice. I understand how past trauma can shape present patterns — and how healing requires both insight and practical strategies.
