About Becca
Becca is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and I believe that the relationship between the therapist and client is very important. It’s very important to me that I create strong relationships with my clients based on trust and acceptance. I take a holistic approach, as our mental health is as important as our physical health, and they are often related to one another. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy and a person-centered approach. I can assist people who have mood disorders, anxiety, grief, trauma, substance abuse, parenting and family conflicts and LGBTQ support. I specialize in working with adolescents, adults and couples.
Becca has worked in University, foster care and forensic settings. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and her Master’s degree in Human Development Counseling, with a concentration in Marriage and Family therapy, both from the University of Illinois, Springfield. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, her cats and doing yoga.
Becca emphasizes health and wellness in the community and those she sees in her psychotherapy sessions. Mandatory DOT SAP program and required hours for completion. Failed drug screens at places of employment resulting in required substance abuse treatment and anger management classes.
